 I had the joy of coming to First Presbyterian Church in July of 2002—and what a caring and loving family I found myself in! The community of Lansdowne is diverse and exciting and vibrant--and our church family is all of that and more! We at the First Presbyterian Church ARE family-- we care about each other and want to share God's love (and our love) with our community and world. We are passionate about helping folks to know how deeply and dearly God loves each one of us! I LOVE being here—my special passions are visiting and getting to know folks, leading worship so that everyone experiences the warmth of our family and MOST ESPECIALLY feels God’s presence; and my favorite passion—helping folks to know God loves each and every one of us! I have twenty-five years of experience in ministry. I have been in the field of social work (I have a master's degree in social work from Temple University); I have two additional master's degrees (in divinity and theology), as well as a Doctor of Ministry from Pittsburgh Seminary. Besides loving to go to school, I enjoy spending time with people and sharing God's love and wondrous hospitality! I am happy to officiate at weddings, holy unions and commitment ceremonies, baptisms, funerals and memorial services both at LPC and in the community. I have a loving wonderful husband, Joe Timothy, and I'm the VERY proud grandmother of four beautiful grandchildren...please ask to see their pictures!! I have three wonderful sons and two incredible daughters-in-law! I also have three grand-dogs and two-grand-cats; as well as 3 cats of my very own! I try to ALWAYS be available—my door is always open and am glad to discuss anything at any time! |
